TAJFC were desperately unlucky in their Ryedale League Cup game at the Ings today. The Lads played for 62 mins with no substitutes and battled valiantly against 2007's First Division runners-up Heworth Stallions. Goals came from Harry Hardy (2) and Joe "Mr Dynamite" Simon (2) with strong, committed performances from John "True Grit" Broadley, Ollie Patrick, Oliver Ward, Sam Cheetham, Hazza, Joel, Matty Orr, Josh Jackson, Josh"Macca" McCarthy, Adam "Raw Meat" Brammar and the aformentioned Joe Simon. The refereeing decisions went against TAJFC on numerous occasions with Heworth credited with a goal scored from outside the area of play. As Arsene Wenger once remarked "green side up when you are laying turf". Final score TAJFC 4 - Heworth Stallions 5.TAJFC have won all 6 of their League games to date and meet Osbaldwick next Sunday afternoon at 1pm (TBC)
